Food and Music Festivals...

So, this blog was going to be about all the great eateries here in Noosa so watch out this will be a future blog hopefully next time. Noosa sure has a lot of events constantly; I truly can’t keep up sometimes but that’s why I love living here so much to do always. So, highlighting all the food and music festivals coming up....

Food Festivals

Teralla Brewery

196 Bunya Rd, North Arm

So, categorising this event under food as there is three food trucks to pick from starting from 12pm – 7:30pm and of course the reason of visiting the brewery is trying the local brewed beers. Bonus tonight they are showing for free “Shrek” at 6pm onwards so pack the picnic rug and blanket and bring the kids to a fun filled night I sure am. Even better still arrive by 5:30pm you can hang out with the animals before the movie starts. Just a reminder every Friday – Sunday food trucks are available and live music to add to the atmosphere.

Goomeri Pumpkin Festival

Sunday 30th May

8am – 4pm

Yelp this is an interesting one happening this Sunday. Yes, my family are going to check it out and only because my husband has to bring the school band to play at the event, so clearly music, rides, Great Australian pumpkin roll, pumpkin Olympics watch out Japan 2020 that keeps getting delayed. A true country events. It is 2 hours from Noosa so not round the corner but need a mention. Check it out at goomeripumpkinfestival.com.au

Noosa Food and Eat Festival

10th – 13th June

Variety of Locations

As discussed last blog the Noosa Food and Eat Festival is now nearly upon us. So, if you didn’t’ take my advice last time then do it now and buy those tickets to the varying events happening. Why not go to the Chefs Kitchen event held 12th and 13th June in the Noosa Woods from VIP tickets at $65 per session or standard $35 per session. The chef’s kitchen is your chance to get up close and personal with your favourite celebrity chef. Each session you will get to view two guest chefs demonstrating their favourite recipe either at the main stage or at the Chefs Skills Table. Check it all out on their website: noosaeatdrink.com.au

The Hinterland Craft Beer Festival

26th June

12pm – 8pm

1 Etheridge St Eumundi

Into your beers then this is the festival for you. Yes, not until end of June but start planning it in your calendar now. Free entry to try out the best local breweries. They are Boiling pot, Brouhaha, Copperhead, Eumundi Brewery, Heads of Noosa, Moffatt Beach, Sunshine Brewery and Your Mates. Not only trying beers all afternoon long but also will have street food, live music, artists, performers and more. So, get behind this great local event.

Nutella Festival

10th July

4pm -10pm

Night Quarter – 201/8 The Avenue, Birtinya

Yes, a night dedicated to Nutella how crazy people are that obsessed with the oozy, gooey and chocolatey goodness. I mean it is amazing oozing out of your pastry, doughnut, cronut, muffin, toasties, calzones, Dutch pancakes, fudge, honey puffs, sundaes, ice cream cookies sandwiches, pizzas, cocktails and chocolate shots to name a few things you will get to try. Definitely a novel festival and one to consider going too but try in moderations otherwise you will be regretting it later. I know my daughter will love it she’s the family chocaholic. Now I need an ice cream festival like this, I will be the first one their hint hint event organisers

Music Events

Musician at the Boathouse

Grass area in front of the Boathouse, Gympie Terrace, Noosaville

Every Friday Night (weather permitting)

4-7pm

Every Friday well weather permitting that is, everyone packs the picnic rugs and now blankets too, chairs and tables and cover the grass area in front of the Boathouse Restaurant and watch a great crowd gathering to watch the solo musician. He definitely has his followers always at the front row ready to boogie on down. I do love to get up and dance the night away too with the kids. The entertainment is put on by the Boathouse so don’t forget to support them by ordering there yummy take away fish and chips. Too easy when the line is long for pick up just come back across and wait whilst listing to great hits. Did I mention get to witness the best sunsets too.

Sounds on Noosa Foreshore

5th June

9am – 3pm

Gympie Terrace, Noosaville

This is a free event, it’s Noosa busking championships, all buskers are positioned along the path up and down Gympie Terrace next to the Noosa River. Unfortunately like most events this was cancelled last year but remember how nice it was the year before strolling along listening and sitting and watching the different musicians. Better still this year the Noosa Ferry is running free yes free ferry rides up the Noosa river from The Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club to T Boats from 8am – 11am. Different way to experience the buskers. I will definitely be joining in on this fun.

Come Together Festival

6th June

11am – 7pm

Pirate Park – Gympie Terrace, Noosaville

This festival is connected with the Busking Championships mentioned above. It’s a free event put on by the community to help people with disabilities bringing awareness and support. This event is awesome can’t wait to attend again. There is 4 stages of family friendly music, stalls, trash and treasure, arts and kids’ field which last time had a climbing wall, tractor rides, animals, international food court, water activities, sailing and a giant charity auction where you can really support the course. All ended with Noosa’s biggest laser show. Definitely an event not to miss. Try to walk or bike ride if you can the parking is crazy.

Villa Noosa Hotel

19 Mary St, Noosaville

17th June at 7:30pm onwards

Ben Lee

Yes, Ben Lee is coming to Noosa, told you Noosa doesn’t disappoint even had Thirsty Merc the other year desperate to see but had no babysitter options with no family here and kids that are too clingy to get a stranger in. Ok back to Ben Lee latest act I need to see, only $44.90 tickets on sale now at liveatyourlocal.com.au so don’t miss out on an intimate performance. I way prefer seeing gigs this way then big stadiums and all you do is watch on the big screens as they are dots on the stage.

There you have it lots to dates to save in your calendar now and plan into your holiday here in Noosa.
