I am back to blogging again after a month off and being super busy meeting and greeting all the lovely guests to the units, townhouses and houses I manage here in Noosa shire. 2021 here we are, the year we have all been waiting for, hoping for better times ahead. So far not looking promising with the announcement of the Brisbane lockdown for the next 3 days. Very grateful to live here in Noosaville but missing our Brisbane visitors this weekend. Well it’s been pouring with rain here the last few days so not fun at all when we live in such a nature exploring destination.
What’s happening this weekend ?? Yelp I have you sorted.
It’s not summer without a good old carnival, so head to:
Alex Summer Carnival
Saturday 9th Jan
5pm – 10pm
This event at Alexandra Headland is on until end of January every Saturday night. This Saturday unless it is cancelled due to the weather is extra special with fireworks at 9pm. It is $3 entry per person purchase at the gate. It has live music from 6pm, food trucks, carnival rides, kids’ zone, petting farm and pony rides and showbags. All rides are extra.
Free Live Music…
Out front of Boathouse, Gympie Terrace
Friday and Sunday
4:30 - 7:30pm
Live music then Noosa has you covered. Every Friday and Sunday for January 4:30 - 7:30pm. It's free and family friendly. Located in front of the Boathouse on Gympie Terrace. Bring your picnic rug and chairs and watch the sunset whilst eating and drinking and enjoying yourselves on a balmy night.
Movie Time...
Perfect weather for the movies either in the cinema on these rainy days or enjoy the balmy nights at the outdoor cinemas. We have been enjoying both options. We escaped the rain yesterday and went to Noosa Cinemas all newly updated with comfy new seats. We saw The Croods 2, yes we have young kids but it was so entertaining, book online as it was super packed.
We also have been going as a family to the Outdoor Movie events in Peregian Beach on Wednesday nights and Coolum Beach on Saturday nights starting at 6:30pm -ish. Just watch the weather if they are still screening but next ones are:
Coolum Beach
Saturday 9th Jan – Oddball
Peregian Beach
Wed 13th Jan – Babe
Wed 20th Jan – The Sapphires
Plants your into then head to the Ginger factory:
Ginger Factory is another favourite place to go in wet weather. As of today 8th Jan until 26th Jan they have the Ginger, Flower and Plant Emporium happening. Celebrating all things green with a wide range of plants and flowers on sale with the Coast’s best selection of ginger plants and famous heliconias.
Let’s all be vigilant and wash our hands and keep our distance from one and another so no more out breaks occur. So we can all get on with loving life over the summer period before school and work goes back.
