More Christmas & Summer events....

Is anyone else freaking out that it's only 2 weeks until Christmas??? I sure am! Now the borders have opened and everyone is arriving for the holidays here (in paradise) I am super busy! Adding to that, last week we finally reunited with my mum and dad, aka. the kids’ grandparents. I mean, we have been waiting since January. It’s so good to see our family, and other tourists again. I mean, yesterday I went to the beach at 9:30am and it was packed full of coolcabana shades and umbrellas…..Tropical vibe, tropical paradise.

Anyway, adding to my previous blog about Christmas events happening in the area…....I have a few more for you to check out to help you get into the Christmas and Summer Holiday Spirit.

CHRISTMAS EVENTS

12 Days of Christmas Magic

Hastings Street, Noosa

11th Dec – 22nd Dec

4-7pm

12 Days of Christmas Magic sounds like so much fun and we can’t wait to check it out! People, it starts tonight! Street entertainment, all free, every day for 12 days. Enjoy the new decorations of cars piled high with pressies, as well as other entertainment as you shop and dine in on Hastings Street. Of course, Hastings Street looks great all year round with its fairy lights, but 12 Days of Christmas Magic is just that little bit more festive!

Jingle by the Beach

Bulcock St, Caloundra

Saturday 12th Dec

3pm – 8pm

Jingle by the Beach is another great free Christmas event, full of entertainment and activities. It’s got roving performers, Christmas music and market style food on offer.

Christmas Eve Market

Noosa Farmers Market

6am – Midday

If you’ve been following my blog, you’d already know that I love going to the farmers market every 2nd Sunday. Everything is so fresh, so cheap and direct from the farmers that pick it, bake it, or make it. I will definitely be making a special trip to the Noosa Farmers Market this Christmas Eve in readiness for our Christmas Day feast. Insider’s tip: even though it is possible to get a bargain at midday as the stalls are closing, it’s smart to arrive early in order to choose from the highest quality and widest selection on offer before they get snapped up!

SUMMER EVENTS

Sounds Like Summer Fest

Noosa Junction

Every Friday (until end of January)

from 5pm – till late

Sounds Like Summer Fest is a free music event in the Noosa Junction Streets and Laneways. As you wander between the restaurants to the bars, enjoy the local musicians performing. Starting today until the end of Jan.

StrEATside at the Met

Every Sunday

2pm – 8pm

We totally missed out on going to StrEATside at the Met last time it happened in September, but they are back and starting this Sunday for the remainder of Summer. So we are not going to miss it this time! Why not do what we plan to do….head to the beach in the morning for some sun and fun, and then head to StrEATside at the Met at 2pm, eat delicious dishes from the numerous food trucks, and sip on a craft beer or a cocktail or two. There is always live music and lawn games to enjoy under the shade of an umbrella. Just don’t forget the picnic rug!

Free Buses

12th Dec – 26th Jan

That’s right! To help reduce traffic congestion, and ease the stress of trying to find a parking spot in Hastings Street and surrounds, Noosa Council offers free public buses. Follow the signs showing the logo below for Park and Ride locations at Weyba Road AFL grounds, Noosa Junction and at The J carpark. So, park your car stress free and bus it to Noosa. The free buses can pick you up and drop you off at various areas: Sunshine Beach, Sunrise Beach, Peregian Beach, Noosa, Noosa Parklands, Tewantin, Noosa Civic, Cooroy, Cooran and Pomona.

And finally, this time next fortnight is going to be Christmas Day, so you’ll understand that there’s not going to be a blog post that day. Another excuse is that I am super busy at the moment making sure all my guests have the best holiday here in Noosa. If you are still waiting to do a last-minute getaway, I do still have availability until Christmas Eve either at a house or resort unit. Be quick to book as these will be snapped up quickly. Don’t forget, the cheapest way to book is to always book directly with me. Happy Christmas and I look forward to seeing you soon!
